Roman de la Rose: Scene, God of Love and his Barons -- God of Love (Eros), crowned, winged, wearing short loin cloth knotted at waist, body slung with quiver filled with arrows, lower leg decorated, raises right hand and with left hand holds bow before group of barons, including woman representing Personification of Wealth, wearing diadem and short veil, raising left hand, another Personification, possibly of Beauty, raising banner, beside king, wearing crown over cap and breastplate of armor, holding scepter with left hand, and another baron wearing feathered cap and with sword tied to belt, with right hand holding spear, the foremost barons are nun, wearing veiled habit with wimple, crossing arms on breast and tonsured monk, wearing hooded habit, with joined hands raised.
All surrounded by group of numerous men and women, among them possibly more Personifications, including one veiled nun (Chastity?) and one woman in profile, wearing veil (Ugliness?) and other woman, holding pouch, (most with only heads visible).Miniature within architectual frame hung with tassels and with decorative scrollwork.
