Beginning of II Timothy.
Apostle, Paul: Execution -- Outside of decorated initial P is Paul, nimbed, sitting on bench and writing on sheet of parchment with pseudo-inscription. Inside the decorated initial is king, wearing crown, seated with left leg crossed over right knee, and extending right forefinger toward soldier, raising sword in right hand and touching head of Paul, nimbed, kneeling with joined hands raised.
In lower margin, on left side, is man holding stick in right hand and extending left hand. On right side of margin is bird tied by neck to stick.
