Christ: Crucifixion -- Christ, cross-nimbed, bleeding from wounds, wearing short loin cloth, is affixed with three nails to tau cross with titulus inscribed INRI. Flanking Him are two thieves, wearing short loin cloths, bleeding from wounds, bound to crosses, with Gestas, on right, turning head away from the Christ. At base of cross are Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, swooning in arms of Evangelist John, nimbed; veiled woman standing with joined hands raised; and soldier, wearing armor and holding spear, seated astride horse. Soldiers with spears in background. Sun and moon in sky.
Miniature enclosed in architectural frame.
Margins with floreate ornament. In lower margin are two figures emerging from flowers, including one wearing hat, possibly winged.
