Beginning of Titus.
Scene, Liturgical: Celebration of Mass -- Outside of decorated initial P is Paul , nimbed, seated on bench, writing in open book. Within decorated initial P are two tonsured men, with hands raised. They stand beside draped altar upon which is wafer (host) in chalice. Above them is half figure of Virgin Mary, nimbed and crowned, emerging from cloudy arc of heaven, and holding Christ Child, cross-nimbed, raising right hand in gesture of blessing.
Apostle, Paul: Journey -- In right margin is Paul, nimbed with joined hands raised, in ship. Above him is hand of God in gesture of blessing, emerging from cloudy arc of heaven.
In lower margin are dog and rabbit.
