Catherine of Alexandria, nimbed, wearing ermine-trimmed garments, stands and holds sword in right hand and open book with pseudo-inscription in left hand. Beside her is spiked wheel, and she treads upon Maxentius, laying on tile floor. Figure in room with arched leaded-glass windows and cloth wall hangings.
Margins with floreate ornament. In lower left margin is escutcheon with arms of Brittany (ermine plain), surmounted by a crown.
