Ambrose of Milan: expelling Jews or Arians? -- Two male figures, possibly Arians, wearing robes, carrying purses at waist, holding books in right hands, depart church through doorway. They raise left hands against and turn heads toward Ambrose of Milan, nimbed, wearing bishop's vestments and miter, astride bridled horse. He raises scourge in right hand and holds cross-staff in left hand.
Behind him is procession led by acolyte carrying book in both hands and aspergil in situla on left arm. He is followed by two acolytes carrying candles and flanking tonsured priest, wearing vestments, carrying processional cross. Male figure, within doorway, holding open, inscribed book, follows. Above doorway, Crucifixion scene is partially visible.
Patterned hangings decorate arcaded walls in background.
