Anthony of Padua: Miracle of Kneeling Mule -- In front of two acolytes, one holding chalice, Anthony of Padua, nimbed, tonsured, wearing Franciscan habit, kneels with joined hands raised before host in aureole of light, suspended in mid-air above platter with oats on three-legged stand. Mule kneels before host. Crowd of figures looks on.
Scene occurs in street or open area within city.
Scene framed by historiated border with the following scenes:
1) Anthony of Padua: Retreating to Montepaolo -- In left border, Anthony, nimbed, followed by two monks, climbs toward hermitage built into rocky outcropping.
2) Anthony of Padua: Taking Leave of Augustinians at Coimbra -- Below, Anthony of Padua, nimbed, tonsured, wearing Franciscan habit, kneels beside another Franciscan, standing, before group of Augustinian monks outside abbey.
3) Anthony of Padua: Setting Sail for Morocco -- In right corner of lower border, Anthony, nimbed, with three monks, advances toward ship alongside shore. Two other ships are in distance.
