Herod Antipas: Feast, Salome demanding Head -- In upper left column, three men, one wearing hat, are behind draped trestle table on which is knife and loaf. They look toward Herod Antipas, crowned, resting right hand on second draped trestle table, on which are loaves, covered jar and bowl containing food. Next to him is Herodias, crowned, gesturing with right hand, leaning toward Salome, gesturing with left hand. Woman, veiled, is behind Salome.
John Baptist: Beheading -- In lower left column, Salome, holding bowl with both hands, approaches from left, behind executioner, wearing hat, holding scimitar with both hands, standing over bleeding head of John Baptist, nimbed, severed from body, bleeding, nude except for loincloth. Building is at right.Pen-flourished initials.
