In initial O, Stephen Protomartyr, nimbed and tonsured, wearing deacon's vestments, kneels, with joined hands holding palm. Behind him torturer raises right hand holding stone and with left hand holds tunic as pouch full of stones.
In initial D, Clement of Rome, nimbed, wearing papal tiara with infulae, raises right hand in blessing, and with left hand, holds anchor, attached to rope around his neck.
Initials on gold backgrounds and decorated with ornament of rinceaux.
