Livres du Roy Modus et de la Royne Ratio: Scene, Virtues and Vices jousting -- Knight, crowned, probably personification of Gluttony, falls from galloping horse, his breast pierced by lance held by knight, crowned, probably personification of Abstinence, astride oncoming galloping horse. At left are three knights, crowned, holding lances astride horses, two caparisoned; at right are three mounted knights, crowned, holding lances, one holding shield. Broken lance is in foreground.
