Confessio Amantis: Scene, Ahab consulting Micaiah and Scene, Death of Ahab -- At left, Ahab, crowned, wearing mantle lined with vair, holding scepter with right hand, sits on throne with canopy, extending left hand and looking toward Micaiah, raising right hand. Scene in room with decorated wall, wood ceiling and tile floor. At right, Ahab, crowned wearing gold armor, holding sword in right hand, is stabbed in chest with sword held in right hand of King of Syria (Benedab), crowned, wearing gold armor. They are flanked by two groups of soldiers wearing helmets and armor, holding spears.
The two scenes are within same frame, separated by two colonnets.
