Jerome: Scene, removing Thorn from Lion's Paw -- Jerome, nimbed, wearing cardinal's vestments and hat, standing in landscape, gestures with right hand and with left hand holds forepaw of lion, standing on its hind legs beside Jerome.
Margins with foliate and vinescroll ornament. In lower margin is helmeted soldier holding sword in right hand and in left hand shield (escutcheon) with arms of Sivry (barry of twelve argent and azure an estoile or).
