In upper part of decorated initial S, animal head biting the initial, body terminating in foliate vine; in lower part, winged fantastic animal, mouth open, body terminating with foliate vine scroll. Beginning of Prologue to Haggai (Vulg., Aggeus). Initial I enclosing Haggai, gesturing with right hand, holding scroll with left hand, standing. Below feet of Haggai, foliate scroll terminating with head of animal. Beginning of Haggai (Vulg., Aggeus). In right margin, quatrefoil enclosing portion of text belonging to the Prologue, marked for inseration at red line thirteen lines from top of column.
