God, cross-nimbed, seated on cushioned bench, raises right hand in blessing and places left hand on cross-surmounted globe in lap, flanked by chalice and host on draped altar and by open book with pseudo-inscriptions on draped prie-dieu. Miniature within framed lozenge decorated with fleur-de-lis patterned background; God surrounded in four corners by Evangelist Symbols. Symbol, upper left: Eagle, nimbus as rays, holding in its beak scroll inscribed with Evangelist name S JOHANNES. Symbol, upper right: Angel, nimbus as rays, holding with both hands scroll inscribed with Evangelist name S MATHEUS. Symbol, lower left: Winged ox, nimbus as rays, standing over scroll inscribed with Evangelist name LUC. Symbol, lower right: Winged lion, nimbus as rays, holding with front forepaws scroll inscribed with Evangelist name S MARCUS. Evangelist Symbols against blue background.
