Beginning of Book of Deuteronomy.
Moses: receiving Law -- Horned Moses, right forefinger raised, holds Tables of Law in left hand. Above, at right, Christ-Logos, as half figure emerging from clouds, wearing crossed-nimbus, raising right hand in blessing, touches the Tables with his left hand. Below at right is group of men, the foremost of which sits and supports chin with right hand. The uppermost man has hands raised. Scene within decorated initial H.
In left margin is blue cock (rooster) and in lower margin is half figure of soldier, with sword in right hand and shield in left hand.
