George of Cappadocia: slaying Dragon -- In upper register of initial A, dragon is pierced through mouth into its body by lance held by George astride bridled horse.
Margaret of Antioch: Scene, emerging from Dragon -- In lower register of initial A, Margaret, nimbed, with joined hands, emerges from back of dragon.
Margins decorated with border of foliate ornament inhabited by butterfly, and two birds, one crested.
