Christ: Deposition -- Christ, with rays as nimbus and wearing crown of thorns, wearing short loin cloth, bleeding from wounds in hands, side, and feet is completely removed from tau cross, bearing titulus INRI. His right hand is held by draped hands of Virgin Mary, rays as nimbus and veiled, and His body is supported in cloth by Joseph of Arimathea, wearing headgear, Nicodemus, wearing soft pointed hat, standing at top of ladder, and Evangelist John, nimbed, on ground. Holy Woman, with rays as nimbus and veiled, stands at left, next to Virgin Mary, and man wearing vair lined hat is at right holding the ladder. Scene is within landscape, with flowering plants, flanked by two trees beneath blue sky and clouds (?) with gold rays.
Margins decorated with border of foliate and floreate ornament.
