Miniature:
Nicholas of Myra: Scene, Three Youths rescued from Barrel -- Nicholas, wearing miter with infulae, one glove, and vestments, raising gloved right hand in blessing, holding with left hand crozier with sudarium, stands before horizontal barrel with opening in side, in which stand three nude youths, two with joined hands, one backturned.
Scene in room with window.
Medallions:
1) Nicholas of Myra: Scene, aiding Dowerless Maidens -- Nicholas, wearing miter, and vestments, holding crozier with right hand, stands outside building with left arm through window. Visible through another window are three women wearing headdresses, and man behind them.
2) Nicholas of Myra: Scene, stilling Storm -- Nicholas, wearing miter, one glove and vestments, standing in or on water, holding with left hand, crozier, indicating with gloved right hand, ship before him, with broken mast and fallen sail. Men on ship, look toward him, kneeling, three with joined hands, some only heads visible.
Margins decorated with border of floreate ornament including dianthus, and columbine, and inhabited by grasshopper; woodpecker; monkey eating leaf from stem of flower held with both hands; horseman wearing hat; horsewoman wearing hennin.
