Shepherds: Annunciation -- Angel descending in rayed orb, issuing gilt inscription GLORIA IN EXCELSIS DEO, above three shepherds on grassy hills, one wearing hat, holding water-bottle, one hooded, holding pedum and flute fastened around waist, the other holding bagpipe, all with hands raised and looking up, beside dog and flock of sheep. Margins decorated with borders of strewn flowers, including lily, pink, red currants, and viola, and inhabited by two moths, bird, cock, and peacock. Miniature facing the beginning of Terce in Hours of the Virgin.
