Stephen Protomartyr: Stoning -- Stephen Protomartyr, nimbed, tonsured, kneeling in one knee, hands raised, has stones on shoulders and head. He is flanked by two tormentors, wearing hats, raising stones in their right hands, one with shield in left hand. Scene in landscape setting.
Margin is decorated with foliate border, with seven vignettes within roundels.
Vignette at top of left margin contains nude man astride fantastic animal, in landscape setting.
Vignette at center of left margin contains prophet, wearing hat, with hands crossed. Figure is in landscape setting.
Five vignettes within lower margin cotain (from left to right) prophet, wearing hat, with right hand raised; prophet, wearing hat, with right forefinger raised, holding scroll in left hand; sibyl, wearing headdress, with right forefinger raised, holding scroll; prophet, wearing hat, with right hand raised, holding scroll; and sibyl, wearing headdress, with right forefinger raised, holding scroll.
