Virgin Mary: Annunciation -- Archangel Gabriel, nimbed, indicating upward with right hand, holding scepter with left hand, kneels before, and looks toward, Virgin Mary, nimbed, with joined hands, seated on throne, with open book on her lap. Dove of Holy Ghost, nimbed, flies amid rays extending to Mary.
Margins decorated with border of floreate ornament including strawberry and thistle, and inhabited by birds, fly, and two monkeys one, winged ?, astride fantastic animal, the other astride fantastic bird (Scene, Burlesque: Riding).
