1) Apostles: Scene, praying -- In initial D decorated with geometric ornament and and diapered spandrels, eleven nimbed apostles, including bald, bearded Paul and tonsured Peter with their joined hands raised, kneel in prayer.
2) Margins - Rectilinear bars decorated with interlace and foliage, enclosing six heraldic shields, including Count of Soissons, and pair of birds, and inhabited by a monkey as musician, playing a trumpet, a bear tumbling, two birds, including a parrot, a hybrid man wearing dunce hat, a hybrid animal with two bodies, and a hybrid.
