In initial C, Eutropius of Saintes, nimbed, wearing bishop's miter and vestments, holding processional cross with right hand, looks at open book held with left hand.
Innocents: Massacre -- In initial D, soldier, wearing helmet and armor, holding sword in right hand and right arm of infant in left hand, stabs the infant held by mother, veiled and wimpled. Two other infants on ground bleed from wounds. Scene in landscape with tree.
Initials on gold backgrounds and decorated with ornament of rinceaux.
