Male saint, nimbed, holds book in right hand. He stands beside Stephen protomartyr, nimbed, tonsured, wearing deacon's robes, bleeding from wound in head. He holds stone upon book in right hand and holds palm in left hand. At left is Lawrence of Rome, nimbed. He holds gridiron in right hand.
Margin is decorated with floreate border, including strawberries, inhabited by bird, and by nude man, holding scimitar and shield, and another nude man, holding spear. In center left margin is escutcheon with Néprepelisse arms (quarterly, 1-4, argent a lion azure in an orle of eight torteaux; 2-3, gules two fesses or).
