Virgin Mary: Coronation -- Angel, nimbed, holding crown, hovers above Virgin Mary, nimbed, her hands crossed on her breast. She is seated on canopied throne next Christ, nimbed, wearing triple crowned, cross-surmounted, tiara with infulae. He raises right in gesture of blessing toward Virgin Mary, and holds with left hand, globe possibly surmounted by cross. They are flanked in front by two angels playing harp and portative organ, and behind by two trees.
Margins decorated with border of foliate and floreate ornament, including strawberry and rose. Within border, barbed quatrefoils, enclosing foliate ornament, fantastic animal, and birds.
Added probably after 1451, heraldic shields of France, France impaling Savoy, Savoy, Savoy with label of three points impaling France in barbed quatrefoils in corners of margins.
