Christ: Transfiguration -- Christ, crossed nimbus, right hand raised in blessing, holding book with left hand, stands in mandorla of rays. He is flanked by Elijah and Moses with Apostles Peter, James Major and John, at His feet. All are nimbed, two with joined hands, two with hands crossed on breast, fifth only partially visible. Scene in initial D, decorated with foliate ornament extending into upper and left margins. Text is collect in first Vespers for 8.6, feast of Transfiguration.
