Column, left: Joseph the Carpenter: Dream -- Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, seated, with both hands on open book with pseudo-inscriptions on lap. To right, angel, with right hand grasping cloak of Joseph the Carpenter, with clamp and hammer fastened in belt, right hand raised and with left hand holding staff propped on left shoulder, looking back. Scene in landscape with city in background. Margins decorated on three sides with scrolling floreate and foliate decoration inhabited by half figures of two prophets, wearing headgear or hat, holding scrolls inscribed UIDEBITIS and CUM ESSET DESPONSATA, based on Matthew 01:18 (left).
