Christ: Nativity -- Virgin Mary, nimbed, kneels with joined hands raised, before nude Christ Child, nimbed, in manger, beside wattle fence. Behind him is Joseph the Carpenter, kneeling on one knee, raising right hand. Scene in room with ass and ox beneath roof of shed and window open onto landscape setting.
Margin is decorated with foliate border, including violas and roses, inhabited by bird and by fantastic animal, winged.
