Apostle James, wearing pilgrim's hat inscribed with two shells flanking two crossed staffs and pilgrim's purse, supports himself with staff held in left hand on top of which he places book with two clasps. He stands within landscape with buildings enclosed in fence. Man with backpack walks up path towards summit of rocky hill.
Scene framed by border decorated with leafless vines intertwining to form roundels containing jewelled pendants.
