Divina Commedia, Purgatorio: Scene, Dream of Siren -- Dante, wearing hat, stands leaning with left elbow on right shoulder of Virgil. Before them is a siren, possibly personifying lust, singing with arms extended. To right, Virgil or Dante rends the siren's garment. At far right, past nimbed standing angel, Dante, wearing hat, and Virgil exit to next terrace of purgatory.
