Trinity: Mercy Seat -- Initial D of Dixit enclosing God, cross-nimbed, seated on bench, with both hands extended to arms of cross, on which is affixed Christ by three nails, bleeding from wounds in arms, side, and feet (dove not present), all against gold background and beneath three trefoil arches; the initial’s ascender extending across upper and right margins terminating in foliage; the descender extending across left, lower, and right margins partly formed by scrolling foliage, the whole perched at left by dog standing on hindlegs (trimmed); and by hybrid soldier with possibly tail of squirrel, wearing helmet and mail, balancing on left hand, and with right hand raised.
