Psalm 098 (Vulg., 097):
1) Giles of Provence: Scene, celebrating Mass -- Giles of Provence, nimbed, raises hands in prayer before draped altar with chalice. Dog stands outside church.
2) Giles of Provence: Scene, celebrating Mass -- Charlemagne, crowned, and Gisela of Chelles, crowned, join hands in prayer and look up.
Scenes in roundels against gold backgrounds within decorated initial C.
In left margin, prophet with unfurled scroll stands on hybrid, consisting of veiled female head, body of wingless dragon, and foliate tail, extending across lower margin (bas-de-page).
