Stephen Protomartyr: Stoning -- Rays of light emanate from God, wearing triple-crowned tiara, holding globe surmounted by cross, appearing within scalloped cloud. They fall on Stephen Protomartyr, tonsured, wearing deacon's vestments, kneeling, amid stones, with hands raised. Two executioners throw stones at him.
To right, Stephen Protomartyr (represented twice), tonsured, wearing deacon's vestments, and two executioners, one with sword and the other holding arm of Stephen with right hand and stones gathered in fold of tunic, stand outside of city gates.
