Christ: Flight into Egypt -- Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled, holding swaddled Christ Child, crossed nimbus, is seated sideways on bridled ass. Joseph the Carpenter, wearing hat, walks at head of the ass. Scene is in barren landscape with rocky outcrop in foreground.
Miniature carried out in grisaille, with painted details.
Margins decorated with border of foliate ornament in grisaille.
