Christ: Entombment -- Nude body of Christ, crossed nimbus, is carried on diaphanous cloth, held at ankles and shoulders, by two gray haired men, probably Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus, into tomb in which is sarcophagus and lamp. Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled, looking down toward Christ, stands near entrance of the tomb, surrounded by four Holy Women, nimbed, two veiled.

Background of miniature and margins decorated with of sweet pea blossoms. In upper margin, scene title SABBATO SANCTO.
