Christ: Presentation -- Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled, stands before draped altar, extending right hand and holding with left hand, back of nude Christ Child, crossed nimbus, seated on the altar. He is grasping cloth draping extended hand of Simeon, wearing miter, standing behind the altar. Joseph the Carpenter, wearing hat over hood (?), holding basket containing two doves with right hand, stands behind Virgin Mary.
Background of gold vine scroll above dado in miniature. Miniature and text framed on three sides by rectilinear bars of gold decorated with red and blue sections of geometric or foliate ornament. Margins decorated with a border of vine scroll.
