Innocents: Massacre -- Cleric, wearing vestments, stands with Herod the Great, crowned, with right hand indicating nude infant, held by left arm and stabbed by helmeted soldier with spear and with sword at waist. Diapered background and patterned floor.
Miniature enclosed in fluted frame with quatrefoils at corners, within an outer frame of decorated bands, with ivy-rinceaux ornament extending into margins.
