Confessio Amantis: Scene, Narcissus at Fountain -- At right Narcissus, crowned, wearing vair lined garment and jeweled girdle, stands looking at reflection in water of fountain. Water streams from mouth of lion head on base of fountain creating pool from which unicorn drinks. At left, behind unicorn is stag; at right next to tree is dog. All surrounded by picket fence in landscape with trees.
