Roman de la Rose: Scene, Carol of God of Love -- In garden behind crenellated wall are woman, wearing headdress, holding arm of and right hand of God of Love (Eros), crowned, winged, with dagger or sword in belt with pouch, raising left hand, and two couples, wearing headdresses and headgears, one a woman with right hand holding left arm of a man, all three couples dancing;
in background, male musician, wearing cap, playing harp, sits on ground, beside draped sword.
Scene against gold background within gold frame sprouting foliage, at left of which is scroll, inscribed in red and blue, BOVES CEULX CY QUER ILS KAROLLENT.
