Christ: Crucifixion -- Christ, rays as nimbus, with crown of thorns, bleeding from wounds, wearing short loincloth, is affixed with three nails to cross with titulus INRI. At left are two Holy Women, nimbed, veiled, one with wimple, one holding cloth to face, Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled with wimple, with clasped hands, swooning, and Evangelist John, nimbed, supporting Virgin Mary with both hands. Mary Magdalen, nimbed, kneels, embracing cross. Ointment jar is on ground beside her. At right are two men wearing hats, one wearing sword at waist, indicating Christ with his right hand.
