Christ: Entombment -- Christ, with crossed nimbus, nude, with wounds in hand and side, is lowered into sarcophagus on shroud held by Nicodemus, wearing hat, at head of Christ, and by Joseph of Arimathea, wearing hat, with purse at waist, at Christ's feet. Beside the sarcophagus stand Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, with joined hands raised, and Evanglist John, nimbed, with left hand on Mary's arm. Scene in landscape with arc of heaven above and gold scroll background. Margins with floreate ornament.
