Virgin Mary: Visitation -- Virgin Mary, rays as nimbus, veiled, arms crossed on breast, stands facing Elizabeth, rays as nimbus, with veil and wimple, raising her left hand, her right hand touching left arm of Virgin Mary. They are flanked by rocky outcrops; tree is between them. Miniature has background of gold scroll work.
Eight blue heads appear above arch inside frame of miniature.
Margins decorated with border of gold rinceaux inhabited by two fantastic animals and hybrid man, wearing hat and playing bagpipe. Gold geometric ornament at each corner of miniature.
