Mortifiement de Vaine Plaisance: Heart nailed to Cross -- Personification of Grace, wearing cross-surmounted miter ringed with rays, holds lance in raised right hand with which she pierces heart, being nailed to cross by personifications of Faith, crowned, wearing mantle with doves, holding hammer in raised right hand and nail in left hand; Hope, crowned, wearing mantle with anchors, holding hammer in right hand and nail in left hand; and by Sovereign Love, crowned, wearing mantle with border of figures, holding nail in left hand. Scene in walled garden with three trees.
