Christ: Flight into Egypt -- Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled, is seated sideways on bridled ass (saddled) holding Christ Child, crossed nimbus, resting His head on His right hand. Joseph the Carpenter, wearing hat, walks behind ass carrying draped staff over right shoulder, and holding lantern with left hand.
Scene in landscape with rocky outcrops.
Margins decorated with border of floreate ornament including thistle, daisy and strawberry, and inhabited by two birds.
