Zone 1:
1) David: consulting Ziba -- David, crowned, wearing vair-lined mantle, sits on bench, holds foliate scepter in left hand, and with extended right hand addresses Ziba with right hand raised, standing with five men. Illustration of II Samuel 9:1-4.
2) David: receiving Mephibosheth -- One of three men presents with hands on shoulders of Mephibosheth kneeling and extending right hand toward crowned David. He sits on animal faldstool, holds foliate scepter in left hand, and extends right hand toward Mephiboseth. Illustration of II Samuel 9:5-8.
Zone 2:
David: Messengers to Hanun -- David, crowned, sits with legs crossed on throne, with feet on footstool, holds foliate scepter in left hand, and extends right hand toward three kneeling messengers, one with staff, and two raising hands.
