Within tripartite miniature divided by architectural setting:
1)Vitus of Sicily: Angel appearing -- Within landscape setting, angel appears above Modestus of Lucania and Vitus of Sicily, both nimbed, within boat on river. Third man rows boat.
2)Vitus of Sicily: refusing to worship Idol -- Within architectural setting, Diocletian, crowned, Modestus, and Vitus, both nimbed, and another man stand before altar surmounted by idol. Diocletian, Modestus, and Vitus gesture towards idol.
3)Vitus of Sicily: Death -- Within landscape setting, Vitus and Modestus lie dead beside river.
