David: in Cave at Adullam -- Of two soldiers, wearing armor, one holds spear over left soldier and club in right hand, and the other (with only head and shoulders visible) raises right hand toward man (only head visible), wearing hat, touching head with right hand. David, wearing crown, is within opening of cave. Scene in landscape setting.
Margin is decorated with foliate border, including daisies and thistles, inhabited by bird.
