1) Christ: Flight into Egypt -- In initial D decorated with geometric ornament and diapered backgrounds, Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, holds swaddled, cross-nimbed Christ Child and sits sideways on bridled ass led by Joseph the Carpenter carrying draped staff on shoulder.
2) Margins - Rectilinear bars decorated with interlace and foliage, enclosing six French heraldic escutcheons, including Count of Soissons (one) and Count of Grandpr³b (two), in medallions and inhabited by seven birds, including one flying, hybrid bird, ahybrid man, and draped hybrid animal.
