Zone 1:
David and Bathsheba: Bathsheba bathing -- David, crowned, in window of house, with right hand directs messenger with rod in left hand, pointing to Bathsheba, nude, in tub, attended by maidservant holding kettle, in window of house. Illustration of II Samuel 11:2-3.
Zone 2:
1) David and Bathsheba: in Bed -- David, crowned, embraces Bathsheba, both nude, in bed beneath curtained rod and before candle in candlestick. Illustration of II Samuel 11:4.
2) David: commanding Uriah -- David, crowned, wearing vair-lined mantle, sits on bench, and holds foliate scepter in left hand. With right hand extended, he addresses Uriah, in mail, with scabbard, kneeling, attended by four men, one holding rein of horse. Illustration of II Samuel 11:6-8.
