Agatha of Catania: Scene, Torture -- Agatha, nimbed, bleeding from her bared breasts, with arms tied behind post, is flanked by two tormentors, each tearing Agatha's breasts with pincers held in both hands and each with one leg braced against the post. The tormentor on the left wears sheathed sword (?) on strap across his breast. Tormentor on right wears hat and has sword sheathed at waist. Scene in landscape with trees, hills, and distant city with banners flying from tops of towers. Rays emanate from top of arch of miniatures.
Margins with foliate and ivy-rinceaux ornament.
